Drifting has been my passion for a long time now. It started for me, before I had a car and licence. I raced karts and it all developed from there, every time it rained I’d make sure I got the kart to the track to slide around on slick tires in the wet. So by the time I could get my first car, there were only 2 requirements. It had to be something cheap, and rear wheel drive, hence I got a box shape E30 BMW, and I have been driving sideways since. I am as committed as ever to motor sport, racing dirt oval – in another box BMW – and drifting wherever possible. I believe South African drifters have a lot of potential and I can see the sport developing very quickly. I feel extremely privileged to be a part of the South African Drift community and I hope the sport grows to its full potential in our beautiful country.
