Hold On To Your Hats – SupaDrift Dishes Out A Surprise

The last few weeks have been quiet on the event front with preparation being made for the upcoming weeks and bumper, event packed July month.
While we’re preparing for this weekend’s Shakedown Round 2 in Welkom, other are preparing for Rockmania on the 7th July and another sneaky round of SupaDrift.
Sneaky? I hear you ask. Well yes. Those that keep an eye on the event dates page would have noticed the deletion of the 27-29 July date, marked to be held at the Coca-Cola Dome. A theoretical loss on the calendar.
Then this came through from the powers that be at XS Promotions (SupaDrift Promoters):
The dates have changed somewhat over the year and here is an email verifying the new SD Series dates. Apologies to all for any inconvenience! We will be sticking to these dates and have added a date to recover the event that was POSTPONED… although the definition of ‘POST’ being after the initial date; we have decided again to up the ante and stakes and elevate the drift events standard and make our way to the Dezzi Circuit, Port Shepstone on the 21st July 2012 for SupaDrift Series Event 05… practice commences on the 20th July from 11am.XS Promotions are very excited at the prospects of going down to KZN, Sheppies, again and look forward to your support! Many thanks to Dez Gutzeit and his team for accommodating another stop over at the Dezzi Circuit.

That’s right! We’re heading back to Port Shepstone for another round of sideways mayhem at the Dezzi Circuit. To say that drivers and enthusiasts are excited about this would be an understatement – we can’t wait for the 21st to roll round! We’ll see you there!
